Partnership Model
Wurmbrand Academy is a self-sustaining school run by nationals who are uniquely equipped to serve and lead within their own communities. Coming from different backgrounds but members of the same body, Wurmbrand Foundation comes alongside Wurmbrand Academy in the desire to provide quality education and see lives changed for the glory of God.
Development Focused
Although working in a context lacking material resources, Wurmbrand Academy focuses on more than physical need. In addition to ensuring their children and families have food, clothing, and shelter, Wurmbrand Academy is deeply committed to seeing those it serves leverage their unique talents and gifts to change not only their own lives, but the world around them. This is done through sacrifice, long-term commitment, and community. Families are also empowered to invest in themselves. Every family with a child enrolled at Wurmbrand Academy contributes their time, finances, or resources in whatever capacity they are able to do so.
Discipleship Oriented Gospel Driven
The life-changing work of discipleship takes sacrifice, devotion, and time. As a K-12 school, Wurmbrand Academy has the capacity to be in an intentional long-term relationship with both its students and families. In this way, the impact of the school reaches deep into the surrounding cities and villages over generations.
Connected To The Local Church
We believe the church has a specific God-appointed role in the life of every Christ-follower. Wurmbrand Academy works in partnership with the local churches to foster an environment in which community members, students, families, and the church connect.
A Longstanding History
Wurmbrand Foundation and Wurmbrand Academy have been working together for over twenty years. Throughout the course of this relationship, a community devoted to faithfulness has been cultivated. Through the grace of God, Wurmbrand Academy has endured despite times of opposition, economic hardship, and even persecution.
Holistic Approach
Wurmbrand Academy is in an extraordinary position to engage with their students on a truly holistic level. Students are provided with spiritual, educational, relational, emotional, and physical nourishment. In addition to receiving an unparalleled academic education, students develop community with their peers, receive mentorship from their teachers, gain the opportunity to engage in team sports and activities, and are provided with a lunch and snack each day.
In times of plenty and times of want, the teachers and staff have remained committed to the children and their families. Since its inception, over one thousand children have passed through the halls of Wurmbrand Academy - each one hearing the Gospel, each one loved.
